The consultation covers: the fabric (silk, linen, cotton, velvet, or exclusive rare combinations — the team can recommend the best material for the intended occasion and the buyer's preferences); the colour (selected from the available range or developed in collaboration with Pieter for a fully custom colourway); and the embroidery (initials, logo, or a custom design). For buyers who are uncertain about fabric or colour choices, the team provides guidance based on the intended use of the shoes and the buyer's existing wardrobe.
Stage 3 — The size fitting. Ensuring the correct fit for a made-to-measure shoe requires precise measurement. The PP team provides guidance on measuring the foot correctly — the length, the width, and the specific proportions that a handmade shoe can accommodate in a way that a standard-size production shoe cannot.
Stage 4 — Production in Italy. Once the design and measurements are confirmed, the shoes are produced by master shoemakers in Italy. The production time — typically several weeks — reflects the handmade construction process: cutting the natural fabric upper, lasting the shoe over the last, hand-stitching the leather sole, and applying the embroidery detail before finishing.
Stage 5 — Delivery. The completed pair is delivered worldwide. A one-of-one piece, produced for the individual who ordered it.
