Gozo is Malta's smaller sister island — more rural, more agricultural, slower in tempo, and for many visitors more personally compelling than the busier main island. The Citadella fortress above Victoria, the prehistoric temples of Ġgantija, the diving sites of Dwejra, and the rolling green countryside that distinguishes Gozo from Malta's more arid landscape make it a destination worth addressing separately from the main Malta article.

Gozo has a local character that the more touristic Malta does not always preserve — the family-run farmhouses converted to luxury rental properties (the famous Gozitan farmhouses), the village feasts that take place throughout the summer, the local market in Victoria. The wardrobe that belongs in Gozo is natural, considered, and appropriate for both the cultural visit and the outdoor leisure context.

For Victoria and the Citadella. The fortified citadel above Gozo's capital — the Cathedral, the rampart walks, the views across the island.
