The PP sustainability story is not a marketing claim — it is a set of material facts about the specific fabrics used, the specific production methods employed, and the specific end-of-life properties of every PP garment. Understanding all three produces the complete picture.

The material facts. Certified Belgian linen is grown from flax — a plant that grows without irrigation in the natural rainfall of the Belgian and northern French agricultural corridor, and that does not require the pesticide application that conventional cotton farming demands. The flax plant is fully utilisable: the long-staple fibres produce the linen fabric; the shorter tow fibres produce linen paper and insulation materials; the linseed oil from the seed has industrial and food applications. The entire plant is used; nothing is wasted.

The natural buttons. PP uses seashell buttons, walnut buttons, and corozo nut buttons across the collection — natural materials that are biodegradable and that do not involve the petroleum processing of injection-moulded plastic buttons. Every button on every PP garment is a natural material sourced from the natural world.

The end-of-life. A PP linen shirt is fully biodegradable — the certified Belgian linen will decompose naturally when composted or in landfill, leaving no synthetic residue. This is the material's most significant environmental property and the one most directly affected by the fabric choice: a synthetic shirt does not biodegrade. A PP linen shirt decomposes. What PP does not claim. PP does not claim to be carbon-neutral, to have eliminated all supply chain emissions, or to have a fully documented impact audit.
