Linen Shirt Size Guide — Finding Your PP Fit
Linen shirt size guide — the shoulder anchor, chest measurement, sleeve length, generous PP fit explained.
The PP linen shirt does not fit like a conventional cotton shirt — understanding the difference before ordering eliminates the most common reason for returns and exchanges. The PP Laos and Bliss are cut with a generous, slightly oversized silhouette that reads as intentional and resort-appropriate when the correct size is selected, and as simply too large when the size is wrong.
The shoulder is the anchor measurement. The shoulder seam should sit at the edge of the shoulder — at the point where the shoulder meets the top of the arm. This is the most important measurement for any shirt. If the shoulder seam drops down the upper arm, the shirt is too large; if it pulls across the back when the arms are extended forward, the shirt is too small. All other measurements — chest, body, sleeve — are secondary to the shoulder.

— Pieter Petros, founderThe chest measurement. PP recommends measuring the chest at its widest point and adding 10–15cm for the correct generous linen fit. A buyer who wears a 100cm chest in conventional fitted shirts should order a PP size where the stated chest measurement is approximately 110–115cm. The generous fit is by design; a closer fit will feel restrictive in linen, which does not have the stretch of a cotton jersey.
Sleeve length. Long-sleeve PP Laos shirts have a sleeve length appropriate for European standard proportions. Buyers above 190cm should review the PP size guide measurements carefully at pieterpetros.com — the longest available size may have a shorter-than-ideal sleeve length for the tallest buyers.
When in doubt, PP offers free exchanges via VIP doorstep pickup — the size can be corrected after purchase without cost to the buyer.
