The summer holiday — 7 to 14 days, warm climate, varied occasions from the beach to the restaurant — is the primary context for which the PP linen shirt was designed.

The three-shirt principle. Three white PP Laos linen shirts cover a 14-day summer holiday with comfortable rotation — wash two, wear one. Add one navy PP linen shirt for the evening occasion throughout the entire trip. Add one shirt in a vivid colourway for the occasion where you want a more deliberate choice. Five shirts total for a 14-day holiday; three shirts for a 7-day trip.

The shorts-and-trousers split. Two to three pairs of natural swim shorts cover both the beach and the boat. One pair of linen trousers covers every harbour restaurant evening. Leather deck shoes and leather sandals are the complete footwear for every warm-weather holiday occasion.

The women's summer holiday equivalent. Three PP ladies linen sets (rotating); two Amelia linen dress shirts (Oyster for formal evenings, a vivid colourway for occasions where colour is correct); two PP women's linen shirts. Three to four pairs of natural swim shorts. Leather sandals and one pair of leather evening shoes.

What not to pack. A conventional suit jacket — no summer holiday occasion requires it. Synthetic performance shirts — they manage heat less effectively than certified Belgian linen.
