Milos is the most geologically extraordinary of the Cyclades — the volcanic island with the greatest diversity of mineral colours in the world, the multi-coloured sea caves of Kleftiko accessible only by boat, the fishing village of Klima where the boathouses (syrmata) are cut directly into the volcanic rock at water level, and the beach of Sarakiniko — the moonscape of white pumice above the blue Aegean — that has become one of the most photographed landscapes in Greece.
