The PP Shoe Guide — Everything You Need to Know

Pieter Petros August 2026 5 min read

The PP shoe collection is the most labour-intensive element of the PP range — each pair made to order by Italian artisan shoemakers, with a production time of 4 to 6 weeks, and a personalisation option that makes every pair genuinely one of one.

What PP shoes are. PP shoes are made from natural fabrics — velvet, silk, cotton, linen, and wool — with leather soles and leather interior lining. The upper is natural fabric, not leather. This is a deliberate material choice consistent with the PP philosophy: natural fabrics throughout.

“PP shoes are made to order by Italian artisan shoemakers — natural fabrics (velvet, silk, cotton, linen, wool) with leather soles. The PP monogram or your own initials embroidered into the lining.”

— Pieter Petros, founder

The production process. Each pair is made to order in Italy by master shoemakers. The process takes 4 to 6 weeks. The personalisation option: the PP monogram, or the customer's own initials, embroidered into the lining. The personalisation is visible only to the wearer — it is the private luxury.

The occasion range. The PP shoe collection is designed for the resort and the evening occasion — the harbour restaurant, the yacht club dinner, the most composed version of the outdoor evening. The velvet and silk designs carry the evening; the cotton and linen designs carry the more relaxed resort daytime.

The personalisation decision. The PP monogram (PP in the PP house font) for the most classically composed choice. Your own initials for the most personally specific. Either choice costs the same; neither is visible to anyone but you.
