What "natural linen" means. "Natural linen" means the fabric is made from flax fibre — a plant-based, natural material. This distinguishes it from synthetic fabrics (polyester, nylon, acrylic) and from semi-synthetic alternatives. Natural linen from anywhere in the world is 100% natural, 100% biodegradable, and shares the breathability and moisture management properties of linen as a fibre category. When PP uses "natural linen" in a product description, it means exactly this: the fabric is genuine linen, made from flax, with no synthetic components.

Belgian linen is a specific designation that refers to linen fabric produced using flax grown in the historical growing region of Belgium and Northern France — the Lys River valley and the surrounding corridor. This region's specific combination of climate, soil, and water has historically produced the finest flax fibre in the world — longer staple length, more consistent fibre, lower natural impurity content — than flax grown elsewhere. Belgian linen carries a protected designation of origin and is accompanied by a certificate of origin when PP includes it in a garment.
The practical difference. Belgian linen is finer, softer, and more lustrous than standard natural linen at equivalent weights. It develops its characteristic softness more quickly over repeated washing and maintains its quality over a longer garment lifespan.
