PP Linen Sizing Guide — How to Find Your Fit

Pieter Petros August 2026 5 min read

The PP linen shirt is cut generous. This is not a defect — it is the most appropriate cut for a natural linen shirt that will be worn open over natural swim shorts, on a yacht deck, or at a beach club table. The generous cut allows air to circulate freely, which is the core breathability advantage of certified Belgian linen in practice.

The general sizing rule. Order your usual shirt size as a starting point. If you prefer a more fitted appearance or are between sizes, order one size down from your usual. The shoulder seam position is the most reliable measurement: it should sit at the point where your shoulder meets your arm.

The chest and body fit. PP linen shirts are designed with ease — the chest and body have more room than a fitted shirt. This is correct for the resort and warm-weather context. The generous body allows the shirt to be worn fully buttoned or open without restriction.

First-wash fit note. PP certified Belgian linen may have minimal shrinkage after the first wash, after which the fit stabilises. For those who prefer a slightly more fitted result, some buyers deliberately order their usual size and wash before wearing.

The exchange process. Free exchanges are available, subject to current PP policy. If the fit is not correct after receiving the garment, contact PP customer service to initiate the exchange before washing.
