The PP Bespoke Experience — From Conversation to Creation
The PP bespoke experience — the consultation, the fabric, the handmade production at the Dubai atelier, and what a commission actually produces.
The PP bespoke service begins with a conversation. Not a form, not a measurement appointment, not a catalogue of options — a conversation. The commission is understood before anything is measured, because the measurement of a bespoke garment follows from an understanding of what the garment needs to do, who it is for, and what it should communicate.
The process. The initial consultation establishes the garment, the occasion, the fabric, the colourway, and any specific requirements the commission carries. The measurements are taken at the PP atelier in Dubai, or arranged at a location convenient to the client. The pattern is drafted specifically for the individual — not adapted from a standard block but drawn from the measurements and the silhouette discussed in the consultation.
“A PP bespoke commission begins with a conversation. The measurement follows from an understanding of what the garment needs to do, who it is for, and what it should communicate.”
— Pieter Petros, founderThe fabric. PP bespoke uses certified Belgian linen for linen commissions. The same long-staple, origin-verified cloth as the collection — selected for the specific commission in the appropriate weight and colourway. For commissions that go beyond linen — wool, silk, or mixed natural fabric constructions — the fabric is sourced specifically for the piece.
The production. Every bespoke PP garment is made by hand at the Dubai atelier. The cutting, the sewing, the finishing — each stage is completed by hand. The timeline varies by commission: a bespoke suit requires more time than a bespoke shirt, and a complex construction more than a standard one. Commissions are accepted selectively — the capacity of handmade production at a small atelier is finite.
The result. A garment that exists nowhere else in the world. One commission, one piece, made from the materials and to the specifications agreed in the initial conversation. The certificate of origin accompanies every Belgian linen bespoke piece; the provenance of the cloth is documented in the same way as every PP collection garment.
The clientele. PP bespoke clients are people who have already worn the collection and understand what the fabric does. The move to bespoke is the move from a garment that is made for the PP customer to a garment that is made for this specific person.
