What to Wear in Saint Barths — The Complete PP Wardrobe

What Saint Barths asks — Gustavia, the beaches, the superyacht harbour, the evenings — the PP linen wardrobe.

Pieter Petros July 2026 5 min read Destination

Saint Barths is the most visually composed of all Caribbean destinations — the Swedish-influenced architecture of Gustavia, the French sensibility in the restaurants and boutiques, the superyacht harbour, the beaches of St Jean and Gouverneur. The island rewards a wardrobe that is genuinely considered rather than generically tropical.

For Gustavia. The capital’s harbour, the boutiques along rue de la République, the restaurant terraces above the water — a PP linen shirt in white or natural with linen trousers and leather loafers. For women: a PP women’s linen set or the Amelia dress shirt in oyster or a warm natural with leather sandals.

“Saint Barths rewards a wardrobe that is genuinely considered rather than generically tropical. The visual standard is set by the French luxury world and the global yacht community simultaneously.”

— Pieter Petros, founder

For the beaches. St Jean, Flamands, Gouverneur, Saline — white PP linen over natural swim shorts or a swimsuit, leather sandals. The natural fabric that belongs in the Caribbean environment.

For the superyacht context. Saint Barths is among the most important superyacht destinations in the Caribbean. The PP natural linen wardrobe carries the yacht context as naturally here as in the Mediterranean.

For the evenings. The restaurants of Gustavia and the beach restaurants of St Jean — a navy PP linen shirt with linen trousers and leather shoes or a PP velvet loafer. Saint Barths evenings reward composition in the French register.
