PP Linen Blazer Guide — Which PP Jacket Is Right for You?

Four PP blazers, four natural materials — the complete guide to choosing between linen, silk, cotton, and wool.

Pieter Petros July 2026 5 min read Jackets

The PP Jackets collection offers four distinct blazers — each made from a different natural fabric, each with its own occasion profile and visual register. Understanding what distinguishes them is the fastest route to choosing the right one.

The Spetses Blazer — linen. The only linen blazer in the collection, and PP's most significant jacket. 100% natural linen, corozo nut buttons, PP monogram lining. The most breathable of the four blazers — the natural choice for outdoor summer occasions above 25 degrees. The linen construction means it moves with the wearer rather than holding a rigid structure; it is a blazer for the resort and the outdoor setting rather than the airconditioned boardroom. “Four blazers. Four natural materials. Each with its own occasion profile. For the summer outdoor occasion: linen. For the formal evening: silk. For the resort casual layer: cotton. For the cooler occasion: wool.”

— Pieter Petros, founder

The Monte Carlo Blazer — silk. 100% natural silk, half-lined. Silk is the most luminous and the most formally luxurious of all natural materials — the Monte Carlo Blazer reads as the most evening-appropriate and the most visually distinguished of the PP jackets. The natural silk has a specific lustre that linen and cotton do not produce, which makes it the choice for the most formal evenings and the most observed social occasions.

The Monaco Blazer — cotton. 100% natural cotton in a blue-white stripe, half-lined. The most relaxed and the most resort-casual of the PP blazers — the stripe reads as nautical and composed rather than formal, making it appropriate for the yacht club lunch, the Côte d'Azur terrace, the beach club dinner that asks for a layer without requiring the formality of the silk or linen blazer.

The Dream Blazer — wool. 100% natural mesh wool, corozo nut buttons. The most structured and the most appropriate for cooler conditions — the blazer for the Mediterranean evenings that cool in September, the autumn resort occasion, the air-conditioned restaurant in summer. Currently sold out — check pieterpetros.com for restocking.

Choosing. For the summer outdoor occasion: Spetses (linen). For the formal evening: Monte Carlo (silk). For the resort casual layer: Monaco (cotton). For the cooler occasion: Dream (wool).
